Shop Rules

Rules for Creating a Shop

Just like the Diagon Alley board, you can create a shop in Hogsmeade. Here are the rules:

• The shop must be an original idea. (e.g. there can't be five candy shops, two joke shops, etc.)
  
• You must have been a member of the forum for at least three months.
  
• If your shop was previously closed (See Closing Shops below), you may not open it again for at least another six months.
  
• Each member can only have one shop at a time.
  

How to Create a Shop

• PM your idea to Admin.
  
• If your idea is approved, a PM will be sent back and the sub-board will be created.
  
• Once the sub-board is created, you must make two sticky threads: one for the items you are selling, and another for the shop setup. It is your job to update these if needed.
  

Employees

• You may hire employees.
  
• If you no longer wish to run the shop, you may promote any employee to owner.
  

Shopping

• You must make a thread for each visit to the store.
  

Closing Shops

A shop will be closed if:

• The owner doesn't make a post in 6 months.
  
• There are no customers for 6 months.
  
• The owner hasn't logged on for 3 months.
  
• The owner wishes to close the shop.
  

All employees will be fired and the shop will be moved the Archives.
